We ate breakfast at Trattoria al Forno for the first time this past week, on Wednesday, and I was asked by @starbee to let her know what we thought. I figured I would do a review here, both so she can save it for later if she wants and also to potentially help others possibly decide if this is something they would like to do.
We had a first seating at 7:30 and arrived about 10 minutes before. We were the third party into the restaurant and it was cute that the servers were clapping as people entered. The restaurant is a on the smaller side and offers a nice intimate setting, much unlike a larger place like Chef Mickey’s for instance.
We were given the skillet of pastries to start, and we enjoyed every one we tried. We also asked our server about potential refills for larger parties. She said they bring out more to start and also offer refills if needed. When we were done, there were still two pastries we hadn’t tried and were too full. We were offered a box to take them with us, which was very nice, and we enjoyed them later.
We also got the fruit salad which is included in the meal, which was also very good.
Florida orange juice is included and we enjoyed a couple glasses each. We also got milk which is included.
We both ordered the Tangled Eggs so that is the only entree I can comment on as far as taste. A table next to us got the Tower of Pancakes which looked amazing! The eggs were delicious and there was so much food! We were seriously getting very full only halfway through! The eggs had nice flavor and a good amount of cheese. Very delicious! The potatoes were wedges and nicely seasoned, also a very generous helping. The bacon was nicely crisp and delicious. As far as the food alone goes, I rate it a very good value for the money. The only reason we had a lunch, and a late one at that was because we knew we were flying and knew we would be hungry after our flight if we didn’t eat. We basically ate lunch just to eat. If not for that we could have made it until dinner on the breakfast alone.
As far as the characters, they were to notch! There is ample time to eat a good portion of the meal before Flynn Rider comes in, which is nice so that your food isn’t sitting there getting cold while you are meeting. Flynn leads it off, followed by Rapunzel, Prince Eric, and finally Ariel. When Rapunzel comes in, Flynn greets her and they walk around the restaurant together to the tune of I Have a Dream, saying hello to guests before separating and Rapunzel starting her meets with Flynn picking up where he left off. When Eric came in, Flynn played it up with a slow clap and a touch of “attitude”. Whether that was our particular Flynn or not, I don’t know but it was funny and a nice touch. When Ariel comes in, Eric meets her and they walk together in the same fashion of Flynn and Rapunzel before resuming their individual meets. All four of them were very personable and chatted with us, two adults with no kids, and we appreciated the interaction. There is a point when all four are in the room that they lead a brief parade with the kids attending and then resume their meets. We found that very nice that there were three different times that a couple or all four went around the room and were still able to meet each table individually, and spend a fair amount of time at each table. It probably is because the restaurant is smaller that they are able to do that.
We were able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and still stroll over to EPCOT, arriving just a few minutes before open.
If you are a fan of any of these four, I would highly recommend this breakfast and it bears a high chance of repeatability for us! Current cost is $36/person with a 10% AP discount.January 13, 2018 at 9:19 am #62689Thank you for the review ! I’m definitely booking this one, my favorite characters are there and it sounds good !!

January 14, 2018 at 9:47 am #62801Why did I end up with three daughters and none of them are “princess” girls?

January 31, 2018 at 2:51 pm #64892Thank you so much for sharing this. I have been on the fence about booking it, but it is now on the list. If we end up at Beach Club on this next visit, we will certainly make the short walk over to experience it!
