I’ve seen many comments about how people really didn’t like this attraction.
Being that it’s one that’s not at DL, I’ve never been on it so I have no idea what it is.
Anyone care to enlighten me why it’s so…unloved?
May 8, 2017 at 3:38 pm #26302First and foremost for me, as with Alien Encounter before it… I hate the feeling of breathing or touching of the back of my neck.
The re-imagineering from AE to SGE was weakly done. It feels like they just stuffed Stitch in there. There is not really an entertainment, a thrill element, or much of a story for that matter. It is just, well, there. The only real use is to escape the sun and heat in the summer, but if there is any bit of a line, you bake waiting for the opportunity (defeating that purpose). Wasted real estate IMO.

This is true. I loved Alien Encounter because it was truly scary and I’m into that but as was mentioned above, my opinion is that the Stitch overlay doesn’t work. I think Disney decided AE was scary, they needed to tone it down, and Stitch was a cute, lovable alien with which they could keep the space theme but tone down the scares. However, as mentioned above, they swapped the alien for Stitch, I couldn’t tell you what the story is it’s so weak, and so I’m not sure what the point of the attraction is. That plus they release a really disgusting chili cheese dog scent that makes me want to puke.
I think also that it might have failed in terms of trying to be less scary, and therefore just created a more lame version of the same type of attraction, because small children don’t want to sit with shoulder restraints in a dark room.

May 8, 2017 at 4:05 pm #26309I like it… minus the parts where he burps Chili cheese dog and you get air shot super fast at your neck and when the bars lower down and crush you. Other than that, I LOVE IT.

Don’t get me wrong, I love LILO and Stitch, But Disney thinks they can’t have scary stuff for some reason (snow Whites scary adventure anyone?)May 9, 2017 at 9:27 pm #26493The robotic laser arms creep me out, I am not a fan of being in the dark with the harness that pins you to your chair! its not one of our favorite attractions but if there was no line we’d go in . Anyone remember Mission to Mars?
