Star Wars Land in WDW

Has anyone heard anything about a SW land in WDW? I cant imagine that they will limit that to DL, especially since the Marvel use is so limited in Florida.

They’re working on it. Going in where the Streets of America used to be. It’s scheduled to open 2019 like DL.

They are also building a Toy Story Land at DHS at WDW. Both are being constructed at the same time taking over Streets of America and the Backlot.

The area for Star Wars Land in WDW is HUGE! Its where Streets of America, Backlot Tour, Catastrophe Canyon, and Cars Stuntshow used to be. Wouldn’t it be awesome if the made a flight simulator something like the Flight of Passage but with X-wings and TieFighters? I’ve never been on FoP yet, but based on what I’ve read it’s amazing. Just think, all of your group or several smaller groups duking it out in a space battle in their own fighter…. :han:

That is a more massive undertaking than I thought it would be. I never looked into exactly what they were planning until this thread.

WDWNT (Walt Disney World News Today) has a lot of aerial photos on their website. They fly over periodically and take pictures to update readers on the Star Wars Land progress

From the livecasts and comments about Pandora, Star Wars land is going to be o e of the most immersi be experiences anywhere. The project is extremely large in scope. I would expect Harry Potter like crowds when it opens.
