I’m really curious to see how they re-open and what policies and procedures they’ll have in place. It will give us a better idea of what stateside park re-openings will look like
May 7, 2020 at 11:22 am #133199Using a reservation system for park entry sounds like the smartest (and safest) thing to do right now. Sure it’s still gonna result in pissed off people but…….this is the way its gonna be for the foreseeable future.

May 7, 2020 at 3:22 pm #133230Well, not training for this specifically, but since you have the training, you might as well use it. And take pics of people’s reaction when you do.
May 8, 2020 at 9:56 am #133265This gives a look into the procedures and how things will change
Basic summary:
You have to reserve your tickets for a specific day (including passholders)
You have to wear a mask at all times except for when dining
Walk-through temperature screenings
Social distancing in queues and rides, every other row filled
Characters can be seen from a distance
Only touch what you intend to buy in storeMay 8, 2020 at 10:36 am #133273Basic summary:

Only touch what you intend to buy in storeI understand they have to do what they have to do but it’s hard to say if I would still want to go or just skip it
May 8, 2020 at 12:06 pm #133303I have so many mixed feelings about this I hope this paves the way for the rest of the parks to reopen safely!

I would lean towards skipping it with all that. It just doesn’t sound like fun, certainly not the escape that we look to Disney parks to be.

Thinking about it more, I would too. There’s no way social distancing would work. The number of times I’ve seen people cut the line at the best of times, there will be plenty of people who don’t respect standing 6 ft apart, plus the length of the lines when they can only use every other row in ride vehicles. What is the point in those character experiences? None of that is practical! Photo in front of Cinderella’s castle in a mask? No thank you
