    OUUUUUUUCCCHHHH!!!!!
    :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:
    GET SOME GLOVES!!!!
    :P

    I was the same way with the treadmill and my kids. I’d be home with them and they be busy playing or whatever, not bothering with me at all. Then I’d tell them I was going downstairs to run, and inevitability that would be the timespan they came looking for me and asked me a thousand questions or NEEDED SOMETHING IMMEDIATELY or had a craving for a PBJ sandwich…..ugh. EVERY. TIME.
    :P
    But the treadmill was really helpful. Whenever I could squeeze in a walk/run, it was always there
    :)
    Sounds like you’re really keeping yourself busy with all your workouts. Good work!

    @lemontwist keep it up! I’m trying sooo hard to get my eating back under control. I’m definitely a stress eater :) and life has been way more stressful than usual lately for me so it’s been a struggle. I keep setting a weekly goal for myself, but even that is daunting. So now I’m going for daily goals. So far so good today, but it’s only 10 am so a lot can happen between me and the snack cabinet before bed.
    LOL
    Fingers crossed!

    I did one Disney virtual race a couple summers ago. It was cool. And now my half turned virtual because of Covid so I have that to work toward. But I want to get out there on a real starting line. Hopefully soon :)
    But for now, like you said, I’ll probably just keep doing virtual stuff to stay motivated and working towards a goal. That does help. Good luck with yours!

    I posted this yesterday, but it’s not showing on the forum…
    Strange, because it’s shows on my wall
    Technology and I don’t mix…
    :P

    Well the humidity broke last night so it’s amazing outside today. Went for a run and it was 50° with 60% humidity sunny and breezy.
    YEEEESSSSSSS
    :) :) :) :) :)
    By the time I finished it was 55° with 50% humidity so really just a gorgeous day to run
    Anyway, decided to do a guided timed run today, instead of working strictly on distance. I’ve been feeling like I am so overwhelmed by hitting the mile marks and struggle to get there…I’ve only gone 1 and a half miles….I’ve only hit 2 miles….blah blah blah. My headspace has not been good lately. So today I did a 45 minute guided run. Nice cause they don’t spit stats out at you so I had no idea what my pace was or where I was distance wise. I had a general idea of course, but I wasn’t focused on waiting for that mile stat to go off in my ear. Ya know?
    So I ran 45 minutes. Ended up doing 4.33 miles at 10’23/mile. ahhh WHAT???? I couldn’t believe it! And here I was struggling to do 5K’s for the past few weeks. Still slower than what I used to run, but WHO CARES! I felt great after the run
    :)
    So happy I dragged myself outta bed this morning to get out there.
    And now I’m thinking I’ll add in more of these timed runs as well in the future. I’m loving this nike run club app

    I like to keep track of my runs. I used to keep a calendar but when I’d take days off it would get demoralizing. So I decided to just make a list. Date, distance, pace, and then the last column shows how many miles over the last 7 days, which helps hold me accountable for not taking *too* many days off. :) LOL

    @lemontwist
    I like to log my runs too. For Christmas one year, one of my students gave me a runners journal, and I loved it! It’s so frustrating to only use the apps to track them. I like being able to flip through the pages of the journal to see how I’ve been doing. So I’ve been using journals ever since

    @MissingWDW what app did you use for the guided run? Would it work on a treadmill run?

    @sarahjoe37
    I was using the Nike run club app
    Not sure about treadmill runs. I believe I saw some on there but I’ve never used them

    @sarahjoe37 I’ve used the guided treadmill runs on the Nike run club app. I think there are only two of them (or, there were back when I could go to the gym before COVID hit) and they’re hill-based. That said, I enjoyed them. But I’m sure I would have gotten bored of just the two eventually.

    Thanks @MissingWDW and @lemontwist I might just have to look into guided treadmill run options. To jazz it up a bit.
