Homeschooling sucks
But glad to see your post!
Keep up the strength training
It will help tons with your running. When you get back into it
School is almost over!
Whoop! Whoop!May 22, 2020 at 1:01 pm #134077Increases my run to 4 today. It was humid. Bleh. Went ok, but I came home and pigged out!
Now I feel like I need to run another 4
The struggle is real….
May 22, 2020 at 1:04 pm #134078Great job @missingwdw! It’s been raining for a week here now, I’m so SICK of the dreadmill!
May 30, 2020 at 9:47 am #134395I wanna cry
My leg has been starting to bother me again. Just tried to run and couldn’t even finish 1 mile, I was in so much pain. I have it elevated now and I’m icing it but I’m so devastated
Seems I’ll be calling the orthopedic in a bit
It’s been quiet on this thread. Hope everyone else is running/walking strong and healthy!
May 30, 2020 at 10:13 am #134396Oh @missingwdw I’m so sorry. It’s time to call in the specialist. All my prayers that it’s not too serious and can be fixed easily.
Continuing to do the best I can here, staying in shape and keeping up on walk/runs for 5k’s this summer and our hopeful 10k this fall.
June 20, 2020 at 9:44 am #135561I called the orthopedic back in May, but I was told I had to wait 5 weeks for an appointment. Not wanting to just sit and wait, I figured I’d give my chiropractor a try to see if that helped. Really, I’m not sure if I have a stress fracture or shin splints. Either way, I was in rough shape. Wahhhhhhh! a little self pity never hurt anyone….
So after ANOTHER 3 week hiatus from running, and 2 1/2 weeks with the Chiro, I went back out this morning to give it a try. Only ran 1 mile, figuring I’m not pressing my luck this time. I think after my last 3 weeks off I may have pushed too hard when I started running again and that’s how I ended up hurting even worse. Who knows. But the run this morning wasn’t fabulous. I didn’t have any pain, but I knew my leg was there, ya know? I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve been away from running for so long or if the injury is still there. Going to continue doing some exercises for my lower legs, and see how I feel on Monday. My plan is to run another mile Monday morning and then have my last visit with Chiro on Tuesday. If the pain comes back, I’ll have quite a lot to tell the orthopedic on July 2nd
Damn. I miss running
June 20, 2020 at 9:59 am #135562@missingwdw I hope it heals! I feel so bad for you! I really hope it feels better and you can keep it up, even mile by mile.
June 22, 2020 at 11:10 am #135621Another one mile today. This one felt good. Guess I’ll stick with the one milers for a while
June 22, 2020 at 11:13 am #135622I’m glad it felt good! If that’s what you have to do for a bit, that’s what you have to do. Good job!
July 23, 2020 at 9:01 am #137674So sad to read yesterday that the wine and dine is going virtual this year
How disappointing. I hope everyone gets to take part even though it’s virtual.
