Yes! That is the one big downfall to driving yourself. We get lost EVERY time. I swear, if they tell you “Next Right”….they mean it! And if you miss it, you’re more than likely going to wind up back off property trying to exit and find your way back. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve ended up passing the “See Ya Real Soon” sign! Or the time we stayed at All Star Music, Every. Single. Night we would drive back and then start to panic because we would see NO signs for the All Star Resorts and I would say, “I’m just going to exit here because we’re about to be back out on I4 if we don’t. Then we both would scream, “ANIMAL KINGDOM!!??” I kid you not, it was every night. To this day when we’re trying to navigate around the property we yell, “ANIMAL KINGDOM!” at some point. I would exit juuuuust before you could see the McDonalds right outside the gates of the All Star Resorts out of pure panic lol. Then we’d turn around at the AK and go back. WDW is a little slack on the signage. If you miss your sign, there will NOT be another one. You just have to guess.
February 19, 2021 at 1:44 pm #146226@warrsm I’m glad you are so used to driving around there! Had it not been for GPS, we would have taken countless wrong turns. It really is overwhelming dear DS for sure! That’s the most perfect spot for manatees watching!!
February 19, 2021 at 1:47 pm #146227@Disneydana The signage is really lacking! The signs don’t ever give you actual directions. Just general directions. But there are so many turn offs that you need to know about and watch for! I was thankful that Ryan had the GPS and was a great navigator. GPS is no joke when it says next turn, it’s almost immediate! I was thankful traffic was very light so I could quickly change lanes as needed. I’m glad you learned that landmark! That helps a ton!!
April 29, 2021 at 11:27 am #148267Mmmm, what a nice breakfast. It was a real treat to get to spend some time in the daylight with you! Sounds like a good Epcot day too! Glad you made it to Test Track with ease!!! Sounds like a long wait for LwtL!!! I can’t even imagine what that’s like, what with the going out the door and such! But I’m glad you rode it. Love all the pics from that ride. Such a good ride
Love the manatees! Looking a little chunky in those pics! Still so weird to see the Bruce section empty! I’m not sure I’ll ever get used to that!
Love the SSE pics! Always fun that it gets it so wrong now with the masksApril 29, 2021 at 12:05 pm #148277It was a nice breakfast and with nice company! It was a good Epcot day! Thankfully the lines moved quickly. But the queue lines were ridiculous in the Land building. I’m happy to report we didn’t experience anything like that this month. It’s a great ride! My manatees aren’t chunky! They are happy and love their salads! It is very weird to see the Bruce section empty. It’s hilarious how wrong the pics get on SSE with masks now! On our April trip we rode once and both of us ended up with the cartoon stand in!
April 29, 2021 at 2:31 pm #148289Oh, I’m nice company, thanks They’re chunky and I love them for it Oh no, not a cartoon stand-in! It’s so much more fun with no eyes!
April 29, 2021 at 4:14 pm #148293You are! Most of the time! I totally love them for it too!! We’ve had several cartoon stand-ins lately! I love no eyes! Way more fun!
