If you have no theme park tickets and no intention of buying tickets, plus you have no car–magical express from the airport. You can stay in any resort. Which would it be? Name your top 3. and why. :)

    In no particular order:

Beach, Yacht, or Boardwalk. I had to group these into one because part of the reason is the entertainment on the actual boardwalk. And Stormalong Bay if at Beach or Yacht. Plus Fantasia Gardens is easily walked to.
Saratoga Springs. Walking distance to Downtown Disney Springs with all of the food and entertainment there. And from there can take a boat to POFQ or POR and enjoy the amenities there like the Scat Cat’s Club and Yeeha Bob and the carriage rides.
Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is further away from other things but the animals and savannah views and restaurants make it a destination of it’s own. Plus there is the fire pit and stories around it at night along with night vision goggles of the animals.

Could easily stay at any of these without going to the parks.

Wow…great question…I agree with the Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk cuz you can walk between all of them. I have stayed at Saratoga and the walk to DD (i refuse to call it Springs) is so nice. Other choices? I do have a big fondness for Art of Animation. That resort feels like home to us…been there twice and would go again and again…nice big pool…good food and the rooms are spacious and fit our family of five. Everyone is happy there.

Lots of good answers already. Here are my top 3 in no particular order.

Beach Club – Great pool, close to the Boardwalk (and the awesome Jellyrolls), a short walk to mini-golf, and now close access to the gondolas.

Saratoga Springs – just due to its proximity to Disney Springs. I could spend a whole week eating at all the different restaurants and not repeat one. Plus, you can always take a boat ride to Port Orleans for a change of scenery and beignets.

Wilderness Lodge – Wonderful lobby and resort that immerses you in a whole new setting. Also, it’s a great central location to activities at Ft. Wilderness (Hoop-de-doo of course) and to the contemporary by boat. Of course, you can then hop on the monorail for the Poly and Grand Flo.

    1. Polynesian. It’s literally a tropical paradise with the water pageant, :dole: , and :monorail:
    2. Contemporary. I’ve always wanted to watch the Monorail and Chef Mickey’s from above.
    3. Animal Kingdom Lodge. The resort is beautiful, as are the animals.

Polynesian- Character dining, Luau, monorail around to other resorts and awesome pools and theming- Never stayed there but visited.
Animal Kingdom- Animals, dining , pool area – Never stayed as seemed to far from most of the parks. Perfect time to try them out if no parks visits
Beach or Yacht Club- Awesome pool, dining, theming -Never stayed always wanted to

Echoing others here, but I would say:

    1. Polynesian – beautiful resort with great places to eat, the beach, and a fun pool. You could also watch the Electrical Water Pageant
    2. Animal Kingdom Lodge – another gorgeous resort with good eats and of course animals! It’s like an attraction in itself
    3. Contemporary Resort – You could watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night and ride the monorail for fun

tons of great answers here, and I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the choices. here are mine, and probably no surprise if you’ve seen my photos:

    1. Animal Kingdom Lodge – can’t miss with either Jambo House or Kidani Village. You could stay there the entire duration of your trip and have a great time between the savanna views (make sure to try them at night too!), the pool areas, the restaurants & lounge areas, and the activities. even though most are directed towards kids, they’re fun for everyone.
    2. Polynesian – tons to see and do there, with the advantage of seeing fireworks, and if you want to leave without leaving, you could do a monorail loop day or night, or both.
    3. Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower – same reasons as Poly.
