You can decline them? Would you then have an original Magic Band? I wouldn’t pop the puck out, I can tell you that. I’d be too afraid to lose it and see no benefit. I like having my everything right on my wrist. No taking anything out to enter the parks, scan fastpass, pay for things if charging to the room, enter the room, pretty much anything.
March 19, 2017 at 4:14 pm #18120I’m gonna try and go with the puck. I dislike wearing the wristband.
March 19, 2017 at 7:31 pm #18129I love the band concept! I love not having to pull out a card from my wallet or bag. I agree with Scott! I’ve never declined a band. My hubby and I each have around 7-8 active bands! Here are pics of my old AP band and my new one! You can see the size is a bit bigger and the two small screws on the back. Even in the summer heat, the band didn’t bother me!
March 20, 2017 at 8:06 am #18168We are getting our first 2.0’s this year in September. I hadn’t really thought about it, but I guess we will just try them to see how they feel. We have a ton of the regular magic bands, so we actually are looking forward to the new design.
Thank you @eeyorepoohfan for the photo for reference!
March 20, 2017 at 9:57 am #18235I like the new design, even though it’s wider it’s thinner than the old kind. I normally wear a big watch so it didn’t bother me.
March 20, 2017 at 10:04 am #18238If you decline, does that mean you don’t get a Magic Band at all and you have to bring your own from a previous trip?
If you do want to take the puck out, do they do that or do you need to take a mini screwdriver kit on your Disney trip?
March 21, 2017 at 8:42 am #18531@starbee if you buy the carabiner it comes with the tiny screwdriver! ha!!

That is REALLY COOL! I hadn’t seen that before. My husband would love that.

Haha, Disney DIY! I don’t plan on taking it out. I can wear the band it’s no big deal to me. I’m considering buying one of the custom ones just because I don’t like the new ones :p
March 21, 2017 at 8:56 am #18543@starbee i’m cheap and will take the free one. i don’t mind wearing a band and altho the lanyard sounds cool, i’m annoyed that the mickey part is $15 and that doesn’t come with the lanyard (which is another $15!). i’ll wear the free band and be happy.
March 21, 2017 at 9:00 am #18546@jamiedawn27 I’m thinking about it, but they are kinda pricey considering the battery lasts about 2 years and can’t be replaced. I’d get one trip’s use out of it :| I’ll probably take the free one, but I really don’t like the look of the 2.0! If I could get the original style I would take that for sure
March 21, 2017 at 9:02 am #18550@starbee i’m not gonna judge until i wear it this June. i am already wearing a watch on one arm so i have to put the band on the other anyway…not sure it having a slightly larger middle is gonna bother me.
more than this i’m excited to get a couple mugs with handles again!!!
March 21, 2017 at 9:06 am #18553@jamiedawn27 My hubby and I were just talking over the weekend how we are so sad that our handle-LESS mugs were no more. We have 4 of them, and that is it! We currently have 24 mugs with the handles We like the handleless mugs bc they fit so nicely in our car cupholders!
March 21, 2017 at 9:12 am #18555@jamiedawn27 I just think they’re ugly, but let me know what you think after your trip! If they’re more comfortable I could probably get on board. I wear a FitBit and last year I wore them both on the same wrist. I’ll probably do the same this trip, wearing something on my right wrist feels weird for some reason
