November 24, 2020 at 9:03 am #142729This is not allowed! Walt Disney World won’t be the same without him, his absence will be apparent
November 24, 2020 at 9:06 am #142731It’s another huge blow for an already ailing company. He was this generation’s Walt. He and his vision cannot be replaced. Nor can a fully functioning Yeti.
November 24, 2020 at 9:32 am #142733Very true I wonder if he saw the writing on the wall?
He and his vision cannot be replaced. Nor can a fully functioning Yeti.
I laughed out loud!
November 24, 2020 at 7:25 pm #142761Joe also worked on GotG Mission Breakout in DCA
But yeah, sad sight to see. Well deserved though. He contributed a lot to this company and I’m sure he’ll continue to contribute even in retirement, just as other Imagineering legends have before him (see: Tony Baxter). I hope he enjoys his time off.
November 26, 2020 at 4:21 am #142789Yeah, you’re right @SEJ101. He’s has his hand in so many things across DL, WDW, DLP, TDL and even HKDW! He’s going to be a huge loss to the company, but he most defiantly earned his retirement!
Ah yeah, Tony Baxter is a legend! Big thunder mountian, splash mountian! need i say anymore?
November 28, 2020 at 12:13 pm #142859I hope Tom Fitzgerald could take over head of Imagineering? The projects he worked on was Star Tours, Horizons, and the upcoming attraction Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. Joe Rohde for me is the greatest Imagineer of all time, Thank you Joe for making the Disney Parks a reality.
