For anyone who may be intimidated by doing burpees, keep in mind you can always modify how you perform them. There are modifications to every exercise! I will post a video that demonstrates several modifications you can use when performing a burpee. Take a look and see if anything fits into your own personal ability/or limitations. Personally, I don’t do the full burpee with the push up. Arthritis in my shoulder….yay to the aging process…
The idea behind these challenges isn’t to work up to someone’s else’s ability, or beat someone at their level. The idea is to move and to beat yourself at your own level. Everyday. Just get up and move more than you did the day before. Even with the modifications, you are still going to be using your muscles in a different way, and that my friends is progress!
No one is judging you, but everyone is supporting you in your efforts.
Here we gooooooo!December 23, 2020 at 1:21 pm #143547Burpee Modifications
December 23, 2020 at 1:32 pm #143549One more thing, determine your starting point based on your ability. If you want to start off doing one burpee on Jan 1st, cool. If you can already do 10 burpees, then start your challenge there.
Personalize your challenge for you
December 23, 2020 at 1:42 pm #143553I’ll give it a try.
December 23, 2020 at 2:16 pm #143554That first modification that she did, that might be something I can do. Slowly and one leg at a time. But when she bounces down with both legs like that, and then hops up? No way Jose’! That’s what absolutely kills my back! I’d be done after one day, forever.
