I’m so happy this got bumped! What a fantastic idea for a thread, I wonder who started such a thing
Gee, @kcboston… I wonder…
Or they’ve been drinking. Maybe even a two fisted drinker, but you know……

We need you back on the running thread. I sooooo miss your posts!!!
but that would mean I need to start running again
can’t I just do accountability updates about something easier, like dinner?

How about Disney drinking accountability? The collection of recipes is getting sizeable now
February 27, 2018 at 3:27 pm #67991I’ll drink to that!
February 27, 2018 at 3:35 pm #67992If THAT’s what we’re doing then I think I was accountable for like 10 people this weekend
February 27, 2018 at 8:49 pm #68016I’ve been on this site for a few months now but I still haven’t properly introduced myself!
My name’s Kurt, I’m from New Jersey. My parents had been taking me on vacations to WDW since before I could walk and I’ve grown to become the Disney aficionado of all my friends. I guess they raised me right. I know particularly a lot about the history of the theme parks, and don’t get me started on the Haunted Mansion… Some of my [other] favorite rides are Pirates, the Peoplemover, and Spacehip Earth and my favorite WDW resort is Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. In my free time I have a Youtube channel that I claim is about all theme parks, but it’s really just an output for all this Disney passion floating in my head. I started to make a website, http://www.themeparkrider.com This year I bought my first Annual Pass, and this June I’ll be celebrating my 21st birthday on my 20th trip to WDW. I joined these forums when I was planning my second trip to Disneyland, and now I’m thrilled to have found what seems like a great community of people!
(Also, can you tell I love these emojis?)March 1, 2018 at 1:42 pm #68248AnonymousInactiveXPHowdy from the midwest! I found the site some time ago after a Disney trip and I wanted to listen to the park background music. Listening to Space Mountain 2007 right now with Soarin’ coming up next. Anyway, my wife is the big Disney planner extraordinaire and she’s on the Disboards and some other ones. I just recently discovered the forums here so I’ll try to get a little more involved.
I like learning about Disney history and park trivia. My whole family loves going to Disney and my sons have dressed up and done reports on Walt Disney’s life. I wouldn’t say we do everything Disney but we all love going and experiencing the Disney environment. Love the magic of being completely immersed at the resorts. It’s really nice to get away from work and not see the outside world. Course, it’s all designed to separate us from our money but the magic is still there!
Glad to be aboard!

March 1, 2018 at 4:14 pm #68259Welcome @themeparkrider and @redleg13a!
We’re a pretty good group of people to get into intense Disney conversations with, you’v definitely come to the right place!
March 25, 2018 at 7:20 pm #70881Just came across this thread, so I’ll introduce myself!
Name: Sarah
From: Born & raised, Pierre, South Dakota (State Capital) exact middle of the state (and yes, its true, there are more cows in population than people!)
Now: Canton, South Dakota (about 3,000 people, Southeast corner of the State. About 6 miles from IA border.
Married in 2003 to my husband, Joe. We have two boys, Max (right now 7) and Mason (just turned 3 a couple days ago)
Favorite Ride: Space MountainMy first trip was with my parents in 1996. My parents saved for years to take us to DW for 2 whole weeks. It was amazing! We were never really Disney people. My parents had never been, but it was just thing you did, take your kids to DW. I fell in love. I loved everything about Disney! I decided I needed to have all the Disney movies (granted i was 16 at the time!!!) and bought them up on VHS, yes, you heard that, VHS. And I still own them all on VHS!
One year later, my dad was in a terrible work accident and became a quadriplegic. There were no more family vacations after that.
2001 I graduated HS, moved away to college. First day of college, first class, sat next to the cutest boy. 2 years later we were married in Vegas on Christmas day! (he can’t forget our anniversary that way!) I’m a paralegal with a small law firm in our small town. My husband is a Domestic Violence/sexual assault investigator for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (the county we live in). We’ve lived here in Canton since 2005.
In 2002 my husband’s parents took us and his sister to DW for their first visit. They realized they were Disney fanatics as well! I think I might have rubbed off on them there. They bought into Orange Lake and go to DW every January for the entire month of January!
My husband and I went a couple times together before kids. After kids our first visit with them was July 2016. We coincided our trip with the National Down syndrome Convention that was held in Orlando that year. (My oldest has Ds) My littlest was just a baby and it went pretty well. We went again with husband’s parents and our nephew in January 2017 (but only for a week) and my youngest was almost 2. (it was a bad idea— ugh for cranky almost 2 year old!) But my oldest was obsessed with the rides and he still talks about it.
Our next trip is planned for 2021 for the 50th!
Oh and we have one husky/black lab rescue mutt, Cubs. And two cats we found outside. Willa is now 10 years old, and Conner is just over 1.
March 25, 2018 at 10:06 pm #70889@sarahjoe37 I love your family pictures with your matching shirts! So cute!! ????
March 26, 2018 at 9:45 am #70903I make the shirts. It’s so much fun to make shirts! I had to convince Grandpa a little bit. But he loved the Grumpy shirt.
March 26, 2018 at 9:59 am #70904It’s nice to see more about you Sarah! So glad to have you hear with us! I am so sorry about your dad.
