I must be in the minority here. But I remember them at DLR way back when. I loved them back in the day.
Just so you all know, I used to walk to school and home, up the Matterhorn, in the snow, both ways.
February 21, 2019 at 3:57 pm #103122@dngnb8 I remember riding the Skyway between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom and I loved it, but it’s one thing to have a small attraction like that in one park and another to have it on a larger scale spanning several resorts and parks.

Agreed. This isn’t an attraction in the park. This is spreading miles upon miles across the resort. I know they can’t expand the monorail, for a variety of reasons. It just seems to me that there would have been a better way to enhance(?) transportation options.

Exactly! We’re talking about Disney, they have a huge imagination and plenty of resources to make innovative things happen
February 21, 2019 at 4:14 pm #103130I’m hoping that they will add aesthetics to the poles once they’re done. They said they’re opening them in fall, so they still have all of spring and summer to do something about it.
April 16, 2019 at 3:08 pm #107553They just released the “Passive Ventilation Technology” in the gondolas. I think it’s going to be a sweat box. Can you imagine the trapped humidity that’s going to be stuck in there? And the other stinky guests?

April 16, 2019 at 9:05 pm #107571seriously though, these just seem inconvenient? and hot and sweaty?? can you imagine what these are going to smell like too? between the humidity and someone who forgot to put on deodorant, these are gonna reeeeek

Holy cow I totally laughed out loud!
May 6, 2019 at 10:05 am #109493I may just be a dirty ole man, but….. once on the line, what are the chances someone attempts to join the Gondola High Club?

Gives new meaning to a “quickie “
May 10, 2019 at 6:57 pm #109874May 29, 2019 at 3:53 pm #110826I’m still just so “meh” about the gondolas! I just hate the way they’re taking away from the sight lines long their route, especially in Epcot. Why’d they have to put it right smack in front of France as you’re walking to the International Gateway?
THIS!!!
May 29, 2019 at 4:11 pm #110827I’m guessing they’re gonna be stinky, and especially, hot. And if someone adds some personal ventilation, well, stinks to be the other people. (What I did there….did you see it?
)
Slow, too. And, what happens when (not if) they stop or get stuck? I also wouldn’t want to be on one in a lightning storm.
