HI, New here. We have stayed at several of the resorts and actually had a business at Fort Wilderness Campground. That happens to be my favorite because you are near the Magic Kingdom yet the feel is a lot slower and the hustle and bustle of Disney parks is not there. You do have many things to do though. You can’t beat the decorations everyone brings for the holidays too. The campers go all out for them. Boy I miss it there.

I’ve never stayed at Fort Wilderness Campground. I’d love to stay in a cabin there one day!
March 15, 2017 at 11:05 pm #17502We stayed in the cabins at Ft Wilderness and it was fun and affordable by Disney standards lol

March 26, 2017 at 1:20 pm #19480I would like some stories about experiences with Coronado Spring and the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness. Anyone want to share?
March 26, 2017 at 3:06 pm #19501BC would have been my answer because I absolutely being able to walk to EPCOT. But now that we have stayed at Poly since the renovation, it would beat out BC for me. It’s just so beautiful and peaceful there. Love the new lobby.
March 26, 2017 at 9:08 pm #19521We love the Contemporary (that walk from there to the Magic Kingdom is wonderful), Beach Club (love the walk to Epcot), and Grand Floridian. We’ve stayed at the Poly but didn’t especially like our room. I hear that it has been redone since then so I’d like to try it again. (If you can’t tell, we love being on the monorail line. It is so convenient!

I don’t have any experience at Ft. Wilderness, but I have stayed at Coronado Springs Resort 2x for a total of 19 days! CSR is our familys favorite resort hands down! We have stayed in the Cabanas section and also the Casitas section. We love the Dig Site which is the big area where the main pool and pool bar is. We also really like the food court area and main building in general. Even though its a large resort, it doesn’t feel as big as Caribbean Beach Resort which is far too big and spread out for my personal taste. I have jogged around the entire resort, and the Ranchos section is quite stunning also, even though I have never stayed there.
Please feel free to ask any specific questions that you have and I’ll be happy to answer them for you!

I have stayed at Coronado twice and we really enjoyed it. Once was a girls trip with my friends, and once with my family. We loved the Mexican offerings at the food court, the tacos were actually really tasty! We haven’t had to use the bus transportation since we drive, maybe @starbee or @nascfan can speak to that, since I know they have both stayed at Coronado. The pool was a lot of fun, but it was hit or miss for us in terms of how crowded it was. One day we went and it was practically dead, the next day it was so slammed we ended up at one of the quiet pools. Some people complain about the convention crowd, but they’ve never bothered me. I don’t feel like seeing people in suits takes me out of the “Disney bubble” or anything like that. The only time we even noticed the convention crowd was when I was on my girls trip, we tried to get a late night drink at Rix and it was slammed!
One thing we love about Coronado is how central the location is! You are pretty much 10 minutes from every park, it’s awesome!
March 27, 2017 at 7:58 am #19558I haven’t stayed at Coronado but my kids did, last January. They loved it! They really liked the food court, and how centrally located it is, like kcboston said above. The buses worked out great for them also.

We stayed at Coronado a few years ago. The reason I enjoy this resort is that they offer a business class room. It’s cheaper than your usual concierge level room and you get all the benefits of the food. The difference is that the club lounge is not right down the hallway. Instead, you have to leave your building and walk to it. It’s not terrible. I like the pool!
March 27, 2017 at 8:10 am #19561Hey @snwhtndwrfs! We just stayed at Coronado this past January and we loved it. As @kcboston mentioned the food was great. We didn’t end up using the pool since it was a bit chilly when we were there, but we did walk around and the pool area was really nice – had a little playground and other amenities that we would have loved to use if we had more time. The transportation was really a highlight. We rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for a bus and the stops all around the park made it really convenient. We relied on transportation so this was a big selling point and makes it a resort I would recommend again. Rooms were pretty typical, not that we spent much time there, but what was nice is that they had a door between the vanity area and the rest of the room – perfect spot for a pack and play when we needed to put my two year old down.
While I don’t have many other options to compare it to, I know we would love to stay there again.
March 27, 2017 at 8:17 am #19563We’ve only stayed at CSR once and I’m sorry I don’t remember which location our room was in. I do remember that it wasn’t close to the front desk and since it was our wedding & honeymoon, a kind CM loaded our stuff on a golf cart and drove us to our room. Once we left the resort, the buses made it everywhere else pretty quickly, I would say in about 10 minutes. Only downside to our particular room was that it would take 15-20 minutes driving around the resort before we left, or made it back to our section of the resort when returning from the parks. At the bus stop itself though we never had to wait long for a bus, whereas I’ve had much longer waits at other resorts. That is the only criticism I have! We loved the resort, it’s gorgeous! Our room was comfortable and had nice features like being able to close the bathroom area off from the bedroom.
April 9, 2017 at 11:27 am #21610I would have to say my favorite ever was probably the Poly…But it’s been so long since I was able to stay there (probably 20 some years now) it’s probably completely different.
Only other place we have stayed is POFQ and we love its size, the feel, and the boat to Disney Springs (But that’s been forever two now)….So hard to compare…Need to make it back! -
