I brought this up in the The Person Below Me thread but couldn’t tell the details there so I will here.

It was my first visit to MK since the Fantasyland expansion opened so I was chomping at the bit to see it. I ended up riding The Little Mermaid dark ride 13 times over the course of the day. Didn’t plan on doing that but I wanted a full ride through recorded on my camera but the ride would stop for a time, one pass through Ursula wasn’t moving, and one time I accidentally hit the button to stop the recording with my big fat finger.

Finally after about 10 tries I finally got the video I wanted. Then I had 2 more rides because I had a Fastpass and then was asked to carry the red card. I never pass up an opportunity to get the red card. lol

During the course of the day I also stopped by to meet Ariel herself. I mentioned about my marathon of her attraction. She was delighted I loved it so much.

So comes the end of the night. The construction wall was still up separating The Little Mermaid area from Storybook Circus so I doubled back. As I passed the entrance to The Little Mermaid attraction I was stopped by the Cast Member who had been manning the front of the queue most of the day. He had seen my come through so many times he knew exactly what I was wearing.

He said since I loved the attraction so much he would make a magical moment by letting me have the honor of taking the last ride of the day. Without a second thought I took him up on it. The line wasn’t long due to the queue getting close off at closing time. When I got to the load/unload area I was pulled aside. Ariel herself in her human form walked out and asked if I would do the honor of riding it with her. Needless to say I was stunned. I thought something like that only happened with Give Kids The World kids or Make A Wish kids.

The whole time I was watching Ariel watching all the scenes go by. I’ve had a lot of great experiences at Disney but never one like that.
