@dngnb8, haha! The Money Pit! Hilarious movie but sucks that you have a huge repair bill looming … hope all goes well
July 3, 2021 at 8:46 pm #149675Oh man, dngnb8, so sorry about your foundation!
But on a brighter note, happy anniversary!July 4, 2021 at 5:12 pm #149681The past couple year I’ve really gotten big into video game speedrunning. Currently watching the Summer Games Done Quick marathon. 7 full days of nothing but speedruns raising money for charity. The speed running community is my 2nd favorite community ever but no one tops Disney fans.

And thank you for your service to all our veterans and current service members we are the land of the free because of y’all.
I am pretty busy these days. I started grad school and I’m halfway through my summer semester. I also started a new job almost 2 months ago. It’s going great and I love it but I’m pretty busy at work too and working through lunch at least twice a week to stay on top of everything while being in school. I was hoping to get done with grad school in 3 years since I’m working full time, so I enrolled for 2 summer classes I hardly have a free moment to myself right now with class 4 days a week, plus my full time job and homework on the plus side my Disney trip is 60 days away!
July 7, 2021 at 9:27 am #149720Believe it or not, our now 8-month-old girl, Ariel, is only a small part of the reason I’ve been scarce on D-COT lately. Despite taking 10 weeks of parental leave, my days were filled with working home projects! I worked on a number of things, but this is the part I was most excited to do. I transformed our Master Bed & Bath into a Disney-inspired Polynesian Kahuna Suite! I built a king bed frame with drawer storage underneath. The headboard is pulled from some PVR bedrooms of yesteryear, including the light sconces on either side that once graced actual rooms at the PVR! Atop the headboard on each post, I wood-burned a hidden Mickey and a hidden Minnie (see pics). The master bath desperately needed renovating, so I figured why not make it Polynesian too?! It’s a tiny space so replacing the tub with a whirlpool tub was a challenge of its own. After that things went more smoothly but took a long time with the ceramic tile work, paint, and trim. This one is more inspired by the DVC Studios and is more modern than classic.

July 8, 2021 at 8:52 am #149744@xxzazzzxx That’s great news! May your countdown hold ever true (unless your dates get bumped earlier )!
July 8, 2021 at 11:03 am #149757@RocketEAR99 it looks amazing!! The poly has been a huge part of my life in many ways. The latest way was being my safe place through EMDR therapy. The Poly will always have a very special place in my heart. And if you happen to see some random dude on your ring cam it will most likely be me after using your shower!
July 8, 2021 at 11:06 am #149758@Jloosh78 You can bet I’ll be keeping an eye out for shower moochers.
