Fake for us – we have a dog who eats anything that falls on the floor so no chance we are risking it with pine needles!
December 12, 2017 at 8:08 am #58807REAL!!! I had a fake tree my whole life growing up and could not wait to finally get a real one. The tradition of picking out the perect tree every year combined with the smell of pine is amazing. Plus you never know!!!!! There just may be chipmunks in your tree!
December 12, 2017 at 8:31 am #58817Fake…it’s what we both grew up with so we don’t know any better!
December 12, 2017 at 8:32 am #58818We have both! Merry Christmas everyone!
December 12, 2017 at 8:42 am #58820Fake tree for us, our dogs don’t bother it and we are so busy I would forget to water the real one lol
December 12, 2017 at 9:09 am #58827Fake. Even growing up we never had a real tree. And once we started having cats, it kind of solidified the reason to have a fake tree. First year without a cat this year but still brought out the fake one. I’ll enjoy real ones at friends and family houses.
December 12, 2017 at 9:16 am #58830Growing up we had real trees and I love the smell. Although I still love the idea of real trees, we have a pre-lit artificial tree in our home today.
December 12, 2017 at 9:22 am #58833Fake tree for our family… it’s just what I grew up with, so I wouldn’t even know what to do with a real one! Plus, with 5 little Plutos I don’t think a real tree in the house would be a good idea!
December 12, 2017 at 9:35 am #58834Love the look and smell of real trees, but fake is sooo much easier
December 12, 2017 at 9:53 am #58837Artificial – I worry about putting lights in a real tree and mine has to twinkle for sure!
December 12, 2017 at 10:35 am #58856Real growing up, but artificial now because hubby is afraid of a real tree catching on fire.
December 12, 2017 at 10:49 am #58860Real! However, growing up we had a fake tree (which my mom still has!)
December 12, 2017 at 12:58 pm #58882Fake. I am terrified the real ones will burst into flames! And the fake ones are cheaper in the long run too.
December 12, 2017 at 2:45 pm #58904Real tree for us. a family tradition started by my dad and one I continue to this day with my son. Every year we go out and cut down our Christmas tree. We decorate it with popcorn and cranberry’s and after Christmas is over we toss the tree in to our rabbi-tat pile. We get to enjoy the wonderful smell of pine and the bunny’s in the back yard get a Christmas meal and a safe place to call home for the rest of the year.
December 13, 2017 at 7:31 am #58939Prefer (and have had until recently) a real tree. I fought hard to keep a tradition alive of going shopping for a tree at the same place every year…
Unfortunately my work’s crazy schedule and then school getting thrown in the mix, made getting a tree more difficult. Anf taking it down was even more of a hassle. So last year we broke-down and bought a very nice fake tree.
I do miss the hunt for the perfect tree and that pine smell, though.
