I’m very excited to see it! I loved what they did with Cinderella. And, it didn’t try to replace the old one….which I liked.
March 13, 2017 at 8:35 am #17064I am going to try to see it this weekend if I can find a movie the boys can watch at the same theater, they have no interest in seeing it. I heard on the radio this morning that it was fantastic, someone got to see it early.
March 13, 2017 at 9:06 am #17065Just bought my tickets to see it this Sunday! I love that our theater has the comfy recliners and you can reserve your seats
March 13, 2017 at 9:11 am #17066I am SO excited for this movie! My husband downloaded the soundtrack for me, and I’ve been listening to it non stop!
March 13, 2017 at 9:27 am #17069I am actually really excited to see this one too! Some of the other ones they made into movies, I have’t been too interested, but this looks like it will be really good!! @Acamm, I will have to check out the soundtrack!!
March 20, 2017 at 8:58 am #18198So we saw the movie yesterday and absolutely loved it. The casting was fantastic, and I really appreciated how they fleshed out some additional details with the backstory of Belle and Beast. It was visually beautiful, the new songs were gorgeous, and my whole family loved it

We saw it too, except on Saturday, and we loved it too. What a wonderful movie! The song that the Beast sings – Ever More, was one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie. The song is wonderful, and I loved that they really went deeper into the Beasts story. Did you cry while watching the movie? I surely did :'( Ugh.
Here is the song Ever More if anyone wants to listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXfn65CE3nc

I’m not gonna lie, I started to get emotional almost immediately! The opening scene with Audra McDonald was mesmerizing, and then going straight into “Belle” and absolutely nailing the spirit of the original, while making some interesting changes. it was all too much for me!

I feel ya girl!! It was so good! I don’t understand why so many people are giving it bad reviews (not here on dcot) for being ‘different’ than the original. I loved the differences, and thought it made it a stronger story!
March 20, 2017 at 10:02 am #18237Haven’t seen it yet but hopefully this weekend!
March 20, 2017 at 11:18 am #18285Gaston and LeFou were my absolute favorite parts of the movie. Every time they were on screen I knew magic was going to happen.

Yes! I loved the part when they were dancing on the table in the tavern. Perfection!

I find that movie reviews in general seem to be mostly negative. My personal opinion is that I would want the story in this instance to stay the same, because I love it that way. Having said that, I loved the spin Maleficent took on Sleeping Beauty. I also think if the audience is not expecting a story to be different, the shock can be off-putting.

I was absolutely DYING at this part of the song
And his name’s G-A-S…T…
I believe there’s another T…
It just occurred to me that I’m illiterate
And I’ve never actually had to spell it out loud before…March 20, 2017 at 11:35 am #18304Luke Evans and Josh Gad perfectly complimented each other. And you can tell Josh Gad relishes being the silly sidekick.
