Tonight I made the switch over the a secure connection for the website. If you had your login remember you, you will have to login again. You’ll see a green padlock next to the URL (which is now https:// instead of http://) which indicates that that the data you pass between your network and the server is encrypted and secure. One of the reasons I switched this site over to a new platform was so that I could take advantage of the better security offered by the various software I use. Since the switchover, I’ve blocked over 25 IPs that were trying to brute force into the site. To increase security, I will be adding an SSL certificate to the site before January 1, 2017.
