Sounds like were going to here more music this time from the early 80’s.
June 1, 2022 at 1:02 pm #157489One of the best parts of the movie “The Suicide Squad” — Daniela Melchior — has been confirmed to be in Guardians Vol. 3.
James Gunn and Melchior herself have both confirmed this. Who do you think she’ll play?

Loved the Movies, loved the Christmas Special and loved the Attraction! Really looking forward to this one.
All I can say is I am Groot!

April 3, 2023 at 11:20 am #164482August 8, 2023 at 1:53 pm #167285We wanted to see this while it was in theaters, but it just didn’t work out. Waited until it hit Disney+ last week. My wife (who enjoys, but doesn’t nerd out over the MCU like I do) said this was her favorite of the trilogy! I have to say, I think I still like Vol. 1 best, but it’s a tight race with all 3 for me. I enjoyed the depth of character on display in this movie, and how while dysfunctional (often hilariously so), the Guardians show the true meaning of family: loving one another even though it is absolutely NOT in your best self-interest to do so. Just a really good story here. Well done!

I feel that Vol. 3 was the best of the trilogy (but the Vol. 2 soundtrack was the best of those)
I hope that Chukwudi Iwuji gets a Best Supporting Actor nomination; he killed it as the High Evolutionary. I doubt he’d win — he’d likely go against Downey for her performance in Oppenheimer — but it would be fun to see him nominated.
August 9, 2023 at 10:10 am #167294One thing I didn’t think of later that made it stand out, not from GotG movies, but from recent movies in general, is that the villain has an absolutely irredeemable quality. While I appreciate villains with good qualities from time to time, good versus evil is a very real thing too, and I liked seeing pure evil being defeated by a dysfunctional family. And yes, @Goofyfan_Chuck I agree. Chukwudi Iwuji did absolutely fantastic at his role, certainly worthy of a nomination!
